I'm Michael McLaughlin, the founder, saxophonist, and bandleader of Honeytones!

Music has been the center of my life since I was 10 years old, and I genuinely can't imagine doing anything else. I earned my degree from the University of California, San Diego, and I currently teach middle school music while completing my teaching credential. Whether I'm in the classroom or on stage, my goal is always the same: to inspire people through music.

I started Honeytones because I wanted to create the kind of band I'd be excited to see perform. A band with exceptional musicianship, genuine chemistry, and the ability to turn any event into an unforgettable experience.

One of the things that makes Honeytones special is that we're a real band. We rehearse together, perform together, and genuinely enjoy making music together. That chemistry shines through whether we're playing elegant jazz during cocktail hour or filling the dance floor with soul, funk, Motown, and pop favorites.
